This Cookie Policy explains how KLAE PLT ("we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on this website, what each one does and how you can change your choice. Read it together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. Websites can also keep information in your browser's local storage or session storage, which work in a similar way; this policy covers all of them. Some are essential for the website to work. The others are optional, and we use them only if you agree.
2. Essential Cookies and Storage
These are always on, because the website can't work securely without them. They don't track you across other websites, and we don't use them for analytics or advertising.

This website is delivered through Cloudflare, which protects it against attacks and speeds it up. The two Cloudflare cookies above appear only when its security checks are needed. Our contact and training registration forms also use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a person, not an automated program, is sending them; Cloudflare states that Turnstile does not use cookies.
The KLAE Learning Portal (portal.klae-plt.com) uses a session cookie of the same kind to keep participants signed in. It sets no analytics or marketing cookies.
3. Analytics Cookies (Only With Your Consent)
With your consent, we use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand which pages are useful and how visitors use the website, so we can improve it. Neither loads until you accept Analytics in the cookie banner. If you reject, or don't choose, no analytics cookies are set.
- Google Analytics counts visits and shows which pages are viewed, which documents are downloaded, and when someone clicks our phone number, email address or WhatsApp link or sends one of our forms. Our website tells Google Analytics not to use Google signals or advertising personalisation, and that your consent covers analytics, not advertising.
- Microsoft Clarity records clicks, scrolls and mouse movements, and what the page showed, as session replays and heatmaps, so we can find what is confusing or hard to use. Anything you type into our forms is masked: it stays in your browser and is not sent to Microsoft. We tell Clarity that your consent covers analytics, not advertising.

Clarity's script also contacts Microsoft's own websites (clarity.ms and bing.com), which can set Microsoft's own cookies there. Microsoft lists these for Clarity: CLID (when Clarity first saw your browser on any website that uses Clarity), MUID (identifies browsers that visit Microsoft websites) and ANONCHK, MR and SM (technical flags for MUID). They belong to Microsoft and sit on Microsoft's domains, not ours: Microsoft decides how long they last, and our website can't read or delete them.
4. Marketing Cookies (Only With Your Consent)
With your consent, we use the Meta Pixel to measure how well our Facebook and Instagram ads work: for example, how many people visit our website after seeing an ad, and how many then register for a training programme. The Pixel doesn't load until you accept Marketing in the cookie banner. If you reject, or don't choose, no marketing cookies are set.

The Pixel also connects to facebook.com, where Meta may read or set its own cookies (such as fr) if you use Facebook or Instagram in the same browser. They belong to Meta: Meta decides how long they last, and our website can't read or delete them. You can control how Meta uses this data in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences.
5. Content From Other Websites
- Map: our Contact page shows a Google Map only after you click "Show map". Loading it connects your browser to Google, which may set its own cookies. Until you click, nothing is loaded from Google.
- Social media: the post pictures on our About page are copies stored on our own server, so nothing loads from TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram or YouTube until you click a post or one of our profile links. Those open the platform's own website, which uses its own cookies.
- WhatsApp: the WhatsApp button opens WhatsApp, which applies its own privacy terms.

6. Changing Your Choice
You can accept or reject each category in the cookie banner, and change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw your consent, the website deletes the analytics and marketing cookies listed above from your browser and reloads any of our pages you have open, so the tools stop. What a tool recorded on a page before it reloaded may still be sent as that page closes. Cookies that Google, Microsoft or Meta keep on their own websites can only be deleted in your browser's settings. After 12 months we ask you again.
Change or withdraw your cookie choice at any time.
You can also block or delete cookies, local storage and session storage in your browser's settings. If you block essential cookies, our forms won't work.
7. Changes to This Policy
If we change the cookies we use, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date at the top. If we add a tool that needs your consent, the website will ask you again.
